In April of 2005, we built our first storage container and set out to establish a company that would take Canada's self storage industry to the next level.    The company was founded by local father and son team, Jim and Jason Cowie with the vision of bringing the mobile self storage concept across all of Canada.  After two years and many hours of building containers, they saw substantial growth and even greater potential in the Southern Ontario market. 

In August of 2007, Greenhorizons Group of Farms Ltd., including Hamilton Sod, Compact Sod and Halton Sod, purchased the company to make possible the vision of seeing At Your Door Mobile Storage across all of Canada.  The resulting business, based in Hamilton, ON, is a company dedicated to providing hassle-free, quality storage and moving solutions. 

We take great pride in our customer service and the convenience our simple storage concept has to offer the customers.  We are constantly exploring innovative ideas to improve our storage services and exceed our customer's expectations.

It is our goal that At Your Door Mobile Storage is a place you send your friends and family when in need of storage and moving services.  We are here for the customer and look forward to demonstrating how we are defining the mobile storage industry in Canada.

Containers

All of our storage containers are a specially engineered, standard size of 5' wide x 8' long x 7' high.  They hold approximately 1 to 1.5 average size rooms of furniture.  Yes – your couch will fit in!  So will the king size bed, hutch and that long dresser. 

The containers are made out of wood that allow your valuables to breath while in storage.  They have a steel door with latch- you provide your own lock or purchase one from us and you keep the key.  While at your house or on the truck, each container is protected from the weather by a specially fitted tarp.  The customer only needs to pull open the velcro door to access the container. 

Using At Your Door Mobile Storage containers also provides you with ground level loading.  Forget the balancing act of climbing backwards up a rental truck's ramp - don't worry about slipping in nasty weather.

Simply call or email our office and one of our storage professionals can quickly estimate how many containers you will need.  You can order as many or as few containers as you think you may need and only pay for the ones you use! 

Storage Facility

Safe – Dry – Secure.  Our state of the art warehouse is climate controlled, meaning your valuables will feel like they are still at your home!  It is also equipped with state-of-the-art alarm systems.  You provide your own lock, you keep the key!  Need into your container(s) mid-term?  Access to your containers is free.  We simply ask for a minimum of 24hr notice to access your containers.  We operate the warehouse under a secure warehouse policy, meaning, no unauthorized access and all visitors must make an appointment.
